Plain Makhana is popped lotus seed, also known as fox nuts. Shudh Dry Fruits supplies it in its plain, unseasoned form: no added salt, no added oils, no artificial glazes and no synthetic seasonings.
It is the only product we sell. Our range does not include almonds, cashews, raisins, pistachios, walnuts, seeds, spices or flavoured makhana.
Plain Makhana is available in three pack sizes:
- 250g — ₹350
- 500g — ₹700
- 1 Kg — ₹1,400
These are the pack prices. We do not show crossed-out prices, discounts or promotional rates, and there is no separate MRP.
Makhana is naturally neutral in flavour, so it can be eaten straight from the pack or prepared to your own taste:
- Eaten as it is, as a light and crisp snack.
- Gently roasted in a dry pan on a low flame until crisp.
- Seasoned at home with salt, pepper, chaat masala or roasted cumin.
- Used in home cooking, including curries, vegetable dishes and kheer.
- Finished with a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves for a quick side dish.

Keep the pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, transfer the remaining makhana into a clean, dry, airtight container.
Moisture and steam are what make makhana go soft, so keep it away from very humid areas, and store it apart from strongly aromatic ingredients so the kernels do not pick up other smells. Please refer to the pack label for batch and pack details.
No. Every pack contains plain, unseasoned makhana. There are no added flavours, coatings, salts, oils or spices. Any seasoning is entirely your choice, added after you open the pack.
Yes. We welcome enquiries from retailers, distributors, bulk buyers and businesses, including corporate and gifting requirements. Larger quantities are supplied in sealed packs, carefully handled for freshness.

We do not currently publish nutritional figures, certifications or health claims on this website. Makhana is a food product and not a medicine, and we would rather not state anything we cannot show you on the pack.
